INSTALLMENT PLAN-DBT Consultation Team 2023-2024 with Elizabeth Plante, LMHC
Virtual Consultation Team
This opportunity will be a year-long virtual consultation team experience organized and led by Elizabeth Plante, M.A., LMHC, Certified DBT Clinician, who has twenty years of experience with DBT across a variety of community and outpatient practice settings. This small team will fulfill the consultation component of providing DBT treatment. With the guidance of Elizabeth, the team will build and create a culture that can be sustained when the year is complete. Please review the commitment details below:
- Willingness to commit to being a member of the consultation team for the period of approximately one year.
- Willingness to follow the DBT Consultation Team Agreements and hold the DBT Assumptions about people and treatment in order to maintain the culture of a DBT Consultation Team.
- Willingness to help create and strengthen a DBT Team culture with a newly formed team.
- Willingness to (with the help of your fellow consultation team members) launch this team independently of the Team Leader after the specified amount of time (i.e. one year).
- Currently practicing Individual DBT therapy with at least two clients OR ready to start sessions with at least two clients.
- Ability to utilize the Zoom platform for virtual meetings.
- Ability to meet virtually on the specified day and time of consultation team (Fridays from 11:00-12:30 beginning on July 14th), First consultation team will serve as a meet-and-greet with the first official consultation team meeting being the following week.
- Ability to attend the entirety of the meeting consistently (outside of planned vacations and sicknesses, of course) and if the session is cancelled by the facilitator or we all agree to cancel due to holiday/extreme weather. If the facilitator cannot attend, the rest of the team is encouraged to meet.
- One-time subscription fee of $899 for the year. The benefits of membership include participation in the weekly Consultation Team sessions, unlimited access to files and resources. Learning Objectives-During the Consultation Team, participants will:
- Learn to build and develop the culture of a DBT Consultation Team
- Utilize the Consultation Team Agreements
- Participate in and lead a variety of mindfulness practices
- Utilize DBT Consultation Team Agenda Setting
- Participate in Case Consultation (based on hierarchy of targets and urgency ratings);
- Participate in learning and practicing DBT Skills and Concepts
- Receive consultation on DBT Certification.
Your Trainer:
Elizabeth Plante, MA, LMHC, DBTC is a certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy clinician through the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification. Ms. Plante is the Director of DBT & Trauma Services at Open Sky Community Services. In this capacity, she oversees implementation of DBT and trauma services throughout the agency including training, supervision, consultation and oversight of the Trauma Response Team. She has co-developed and facilitated DBT training in multiple settings and has led consultation teams within the agency and the community. Ms. Plante also has experience in providing DBT consultation and training for the Department of Youth Services, school systems, and other non-profit agencies. Ms. Plante is an adjunct instructor at Assumption University in the Graduate program of Clinical Psychology where she teaches a Special Topics DBT course.
Ms. Plante received her Master’s Degree from Assumption University with concentrations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Children and Families and was awarded a certificate in CBT through the Aaron T. Beck Institute in Cognitive Studies. Ms. Plante has received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy under Charlie Swenson and advanced intensive training under Marsha Linehan.
Ms. Plante is also trained in CR for PTSD and Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, and she is a trained Level One Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher through Brown University.
