Supervising Peer Support Professionals- Robert Walker, MS, COAPS

The emergence of the professional peer workforce has presented great opportunities for the field, and new challenges for supervisors. This training will help supervisors define and differentiate peer roles, and learn best practices for supporting and supervising peer positions on interdisciplinary teams. 

Meet the Trainer:

Robert Walker is the External Consumer Engagement Liaison - Office of Recovery and Empowerment for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, involved with expanding and supporting the peer specialist workforce in MA. Rob is also a certified older adult peer specialist, and a forensic peer specialist. He also serves as a member of the National Advisory Board and Research Team Member in Digital Peer Support. Rob has worked with the peer support workforce in Massachusetts for over 20  years with the Department of Mental Health and manages the contract for Peer Specialist Training and certification in Massachusetts.
